Convention centre - Jaipur
The fast growing, facinating city of Jaipur inspired the facility's design to a great extent. The Convention Centre is designedto share the uber-growth of the city by giving it a modern landmark depicting the tremendous growth and businessopportunities, this colourful and culturally rich city is offering.The proposed Convention Centre at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur is envisaged as a landmark for the University Campusand the whole city of Jaipur itself.
The building shell is formed by steel space frame with triangular panels with internal RCC frame designed to support thefloors. The panels are alternately glass and opaque. This allows for maximum light and ventilation into the building andthus reducing the need for daytime artificial lighting. Due to the orientation of the building, the glass exterior allows forminimal direct sun into the building which reduces the solar gain and efectively reduces the mechaniclal ventilationload.
